Storytelling for Innovation

Having a vision means seeing something that others don’t. In your mind, you can visualize a process or a method that isn’t obvious to others. Maybe your idea is just a simpler and more elegant solution to an existing problem. Or, maybe it’s a tool that makes other tools unnecessary. The hard part is sharing that vision.

  • Can you paint the vision with words?
  • Can you create it on paper, or sculpt it in clay?
  • Do you have the tools to go from idea to experiment?
  • Can you make a mock-up that gets your idea in the world?

Having an idea isn’t enough. You have to find ways to get that vision out of your head and into the minds of those around you. The people who can help you create, iterate, and refine that vision into something that makes the world you live in a better.
